Software Engineering Intern - 1 Post
Job Descriptions:
Careersaas is looking for a software engineering intern, ideally with full-stack experience, who can help us to run production systems at scale and also develop applications that will improve our existing technology.
Desired Skills:
- Candidates will be working in a distributed, global team, reporting directly in to the CTO / Head of Technology
- We are seeking Developers who have experience in a Python and PHP working environment, with some framework experience, but importantly we build most of our applications from scratch
- We run a large scale database and search stack, utilising Redis, Vitesse, MySQL and Elasticsearch, and experience using these is a must
- Our infrastructure is provisioned with Terraform, and therefore experience using these Infrastructure Tooling platforms will be a big plus
- We run our entire service on Kubernetes, so candidates should be proficient with the K8S stack
- On a day to day basis you will be:
keeping production systems live
writing and deploying scrapers/crawlers to extract job data
operating large search clusters
monitoring user performance and tuning the application according to these requests

Data Entry Intern - 1 Post
Careersaas currently scrapes jobs from over 900,000 companies using a variety of tools, and one of the most important aspects of our technology is a daily requirement to keep our database up to date.
Your primary focus will be running Google searches and other means to locate startups and small-to-medium sized companies that have posted ATS job boards, and then later on using this data to add to our crawlers to scrape.
Responsibilities
- Research new companies on Google
- Identify any technologies that may improve our extraction of data
Day-to-day
- You will be working with the Head of Operations and Technology management team to be trained on our internal administrative portal
- You will be asked to identify companies found on Google that use certain ATS boards, and add those to our growing database

Data Scientist Internship - 1 Post
On a day to day basis, our development team, working alongside the candidate chosen for this role will be looking to extract metrics and analysis relevant to users of the Careersaas platform, a tool built to intelligently select jobs and careers based on inputs provided by the end user, such as personality and experience.
Your primary focus will be on running statistical analytics on our database, primarily driven by MySQL and Elasticsearch, and writing code (preferrably Python) that will be deployed in to our AWS hosted environments.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement novel machine learning and statistical approaches
- Design and develop deep learning based analytics frameworks
- Be closely involved in all other aspects of our Data Science pipeline, from data wrangling to predictive modelling and visualisation.
Day-to-day
- You will be working with the senior management team on a daily basis, and will be tasked with identifying possible trends that can be incorporated into the Careersaas platform as part of a premium offering
